Richard Stuart

Richard (Dick) Stuart, 85, passed away Friday June 21,2019 at his home in Rochester, NH. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Dick was born to Reginald and Helen Stuart, in Rochester N.H. on July 25,1933. Dick had fond childhood memories of time spent with his grandfather, Jedidiah Stuart and cousins on his Gramp's farm in Rochester. Dick attended Spaulding High School, where he met the love of his life, Marylou (Waterhouse)Stuart. They graduated in the class of 1952. Dick and Marylou were married for 63 years and raised 6 children together. Dick was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He made a career of running Stuart's Village Store in Milton N.H. and later New Durham General Store in New Durham NH. You could often find him behind the meat counter cheerfully whistling or sharing a story and a laugh with customers who usually became friends.
