Robert A. Bourne

Kittery, Maine - Robert A. Bourne, age 82, of State Rd. in Kittery passed away on January 17, 2021 at the York Hospital. Robert was born in Providence, RI to the late Grant and Doris (Healy) Bourne on October 18, 1939. He was raised in Ketonah, NY where he attended John Jay High School. He Joined the USAF right out of high school in 1957 and then married his late wife his late wife Norma J. Hartwell on May 14, 1960. Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was the recipient of many prestigious medals including the Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He retired from the USAF in 1977 as a Senior Master Sargent. Robert is survived by his son and daughter in law David and Rebecca Bourne of Amesbury MA, sister Amelia Bourne of Wyoming, sister Barbara and Don Gadbois of Omaha, Nebraska, Brother Richard Bourne of MA, granddaughter Melissa Bourne of Rochester, NH as well as many nephews and nieces.
