Rochester - Robert H. Cook, 86, passed away Sunday, May 25th at his home with his family by his side. Robert was born September 2, 1927 in Northampton, Massachusetts, to the late Howard and Marjorie (Gladden) Cook. He graduated from Northampton High School in 1945 and from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1950. He married Jean Louise Elliott on June 9, 1956. Robert lived a life of service as a public and private school teacher in the 1950s, an administrator at Harvard Medical School, MIT, the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and Nazareth College. His service to the community included serving on the board of the Opera Theater in Rochester, NY, the Salvation Army Boards, the music committee at his churches and as a Rotarian for many years including as an executive director and president. Robert was active in many masonic organizations as Grand Commander, Recorder, Director of Music, and most recently a Grand Organist from 1950 until his death.
