Robert J Dube

Rochester-Robert J. Dube,88, of 36 Patton St died Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born August 2, 1924 in Somersworth NH he is the son of the late Joseph and Delima (Charette) Dube. Robert has lived in Rochester for the past 57 years after moving from Somersworth. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as an independent painting contractor and later worked for the Pease Air Force Base and for Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard until his retirement. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, member of the American legion post 7 and Catholic War veterans. He was an expert painter and furniture refinisher. He enjoyed growing Roses, walking his Doberman Pincers and spending time with his family. Members of his family include his Wife, Lillian (Couture) Dube of Rochester, sons; Paul Dube of Lafayette IN, Marc Dube and his wife Ana of Oakdale CT, Peter Dube and his girlfriend Jennifer Sanborn of Raymond NH and Stephen Dube of Rochester, his daughters; Gisele Lira and her husband Wayne of Atkinson NH and Priscille Boston and her husband Jay of N. Berwick Me, his grandchildren; Janette Dube, Sheri Nevers, Briana Dube, Jackie and Justin Dube, Caribeth and Timothy Lira, Cory and Kayla Boston. 3 great grandchildren. A sister Yvette LaBranche of Newmarket, he is predeceased by a brother Andre Dube. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Doberman Rescue Unlimited, 52 Tenney Rd, Sandown, NH or to the Missionaries of Africa 1622 21st Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009-1089 Calling hours will be held Monday 6-8 at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 1030 at the Our Lady of the holy Rosary, North Main St Rochester NH Burial will be in the Mount Calvary cemetery in the Spring.
