Robert S Goldstein

Rochester, NH- Robert (Bob) S. Goldstein, age 72, of Rochester, New Hampshire passed away August 25, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.  Son of the late Sidney and Naomi Goldstein, Bob was born and raised in Philadelphia.  He met his high school sweetheart, Joyce, and enjoyed many years of adventures from east coast to west coast, from Venezuela to the Bahamas.  Bob worked as a mechanical engineer for over 30 years beginning in Philadelphia, then moved to Washington State and finally to Rochester, New Hampshire working at Seabrook Station. A vocal member of the community, Bob was a City Counselor for Ward 4, a member of the Zoning Board and the Board of Assessors.   He was also one of the founders of the Rochester Dog Park.  Bob was a member of the Rochester Country Club and continuously strived to improve his golf game through many back injuries.  He was also a member of the Rochester modelers club and enjoyed building, flying and crashing model airplanes. Bob loved to work with his hands.  As a lover of antique cars, he spent many hours rebuilding his 1960 blue Bug Eyed Sprite. He was a huge history buff, loved old movies and all things WWII. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce; his son Joshua; daughter Shara Hughes and her husband Adam; grandsons Gannon and Rowen; sister Meryl Snyder and her husband Alan.  Bob's love of his family took him on many fishing adventures, road trips, hockey games and fencing tournaments, musicals, ranch rodeos and a trip to France. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 30th from 3pm to 5pm at the Edgerly Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org or the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
