Robert M. Olex

Olex, Robert Rochester- Robert M. Olex, 78, of 42 Murray Drive died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Dover Rehabilitation & Living Center. He was born July 15, 1931 in Bridgeport, CT., son of the late Michael and Anna (Klamka) Olex. Bob served his country in the National Guard as a cook and was a mail carrier in Westport CT. for over 20 years. He was a wonderful chef and loved to entertain friends and family. He spent his retirement years keeping up with his grandchildren, enjoying the arts, travel, beloved Red Sox, English mysteries, and many jigsaw puzzles. Members of his family include his wife of 30 years Suzanne (Whittlesey) Olex of Rochester. His son Michael Olex, wife Judi, and grandchildren Brian and Jeffery of Simi Valley, California. His daughter Barbara Karosy, husband Robert, and grandchildren Jonathon and Robert of Bridgeport, CT. His acquired family include Mark Arenberg, wife Deborah, and grandchildren Benjamin and Sarah of South Berwick, ME., Lisa Hazelton and husband Thomas of Milford, CT., and Alexis Tucker, husband Doug, and grandchild James Whittlesey of Exeter, NH. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 from 5 PM - 8 PM at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867 A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867. Following the memorial service, Bob's family would like you to join them for a gathering at the Clubhouse at Tara Estates, Rochester, NH Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, CT in the spring.
