Rochester NH-Rodney B. LaVigne,69, of Briar Drive died Monday February 25, 2019 at his home unexpectedly. Born August 15, 1949 in Springfield MA he was the son of the late Frederick and Julia (Landry) LaVigne Sr. Rodney have lived in Rochester for the past 7 years after moving from Kittery Me. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Rodney worked for Harris Graphics as a design engineer. Rodney played in a number of bands, including Jimmy Woods and the Woodsman as a professional drummer. He loved to play all types of music from gospel to rock and roll. He enjoyed tinkering with his electronic surround sound system and riding his motorcycle. Members of his family include his wife of 10 years, Celia LaVigne of Rochester, his daughter Shauna and her husband Chris Nickerson of Exeter NH, his step son, Ray Russell of Dover, and step daughters; Julie Cross and her husband Joe of Hampton and Sherri Lewis and her husband Peter of Liberty Me, his grandchildren; Emily, Cameron, Dylan, Kayla, Abigail and Alison, a daughter in-law, Leanne Russell of PA, his brother, Barry LaVigne of Porter ME, his sisters; Patricia Reed of Lake Whales FL, Bonnie Hines of Portsmouth and Carol Main of Berwick ME, and many nieces and nephews. Rodney was predeceased by his sister Ella Aiken, brother Frederick LaVigne Jr, great nephew Bradley LaVigne and nephew Brian Aiken.
