Roger Plante

ROCHESTER ; Roger A. Plante, 58, of 10 Sheepboro Road, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital after fighting a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 3, 1951, in Boston, Mass., the son of Gerard B. and Aldea (Girard) Plante.Roger was the youngest of six boys. He was a selfless loving man, touching many lives of so many people with his warm heart and strong hands. He always lived life to the fullest no matter what the circumstance. When learning his illness was terminal, he maintained a positive upbeat attitude, helping his family and friends through his rough time. He was incredibly strong and a very genuine man. He will be sadly be missed by all who knew and loved him.He leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Deborah Plante of Rochester; his three children, Tarah William, David Plante, and John Dole; six grandchildren; his mother; and five brothers.He was predeceased by his father.Friends and family may visit Thursday, Aug. 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the R.
