GONIC ; Roland A. Brooks, 66, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at his home with his wife, Mary, at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.He was born and raised in Portsmouth, the son of William and Helen (Tibbetts) Brooks.After serving in the Air Force, he married Elaine (Demers) Brooks and raised their family in Newmarket. He owned and operated Brooks Custom Auto body for over 20 years. His passion was cars; he belonged to many car clubs including Kustom Kings. He loved going to car shows and cruise nights, where he won many awards.
