LEE - Salvatore Parrino, 90, of 78 Lee Road, died Oct. 30, 2009, at the Hyder Family Hospice in Dover, N.H., after a brief illness.Born July 26, 1919, in the North End of Boston, he was the son of the late Giuseppi and Carmella (DeSanto) Parrino.Sal had lived in Lee for the past seven years, after moving from Alton, N.H., where he lived with his wife, Dorothy, as a resident of Eagles Rest Community. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he owned and operated his own auto repair garage in Charlestown, Mass., and later worked as a master plumber and pipe fitter for the Pipe Fitters Union Local 537. He was a member of the American Rifle Association, National Rifle Association, Pipe Fitters Union Local 537, and the American Legion in Alton. He enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, gardening, as well as doing carpentry and masonry work.
