Sandra Jean Lacy

September 20, 1941 — January 22, 2025

Rochester- Sandra Jean (Bartlett) Lacy, 83, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side at Birch Healthcare Center in Rochester, NH on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Sandra was born on September 20, 1941, in Fryeburg Maine, to the late Nelson Bartlett and Alegra (McAllister) Bartlett.
She met David Albert Lacy while working together at Continental Shoe Shop in Portsmouth NH. They married on December 29, 1963. At that time, they enjoyed going to The Rosa Restaurant on State Street.
Sandra found peace and happiness in the great outdoors alongside her husband David. Together they tended to their flower and vegetable gardens, fed their horses and chickens, picked berries, took car rides, caught fish, went target shooting and snowshoeing.
A talented baker, cook and canner, Sandra took joy in sharing her delicious creations with family and friends. Countless hours were spent at her kitchen table enjoying her food and company while sharing stories, recipes, and some good old Maine humor.
She was a devoted member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for over 50 years, filling the sanctuary with her beautiful voice.
Sandra was warm hearted, loving, and thoughtful. She loved children and delighted in being a grandmother and great grandmother. Spending time with them always brightened her day.
