Shawna Lee FossDec. 31, 1981 - May 16, 2022 (Age 40)With heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of our beloved Shawna, "OurSunshine". She passed away on Monday May 16th, at Catholic Medical Center, inManchester from complications of pneumonia. Shawna was surrounded by her familyand was blanketed by their love.Shawna was the beautiful daughter of Russell and Janice Foss.Shawna will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her Mother Janice Foss, herSister Carissa Foss (Sissy) , her Fiance Rick Cardosi, and Cousin Emily Peabody. HerSister Teisha Dugan, Husband Matthew and her "Special Nieces", Meyah, Chloey andNyah. She will also be greatly missed by her Grandparents, Charles and MaryPeabody, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Shawna was predeceased by herFather Russell, her Aunt Lorrie, her Nieces Avah and Autumn, her Uncle Bill and herPaternal Grandparents.Shawna has lived in Manchester since January of 2012. She lived with herHomeproviders Jackie and Deena Khadka and their three children, Juhi, Janith andJace. They provided Shawna with a beautiful loving and supportive home, whereShawna just flourished and reached her full potential. They were her "ManchesterFamily". Shawna loved them so much and got such enjoyment from the kids. Theywould do anything for Shawna and considered her and us Family, they loved her dearly.Shawna had a smile that would light up a room, such a ray of sunshine. She had apersonality larger than life. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was a verycompassionate, caring, considerate and thoughtful young lady, always concerned forothers' wellbeing.Shawna enjoyed spending time with her Family, especially her hotel stays over theHolidays. Shawna loved Christmas and her Birthday especially. Everyone she met shewould ask, "is it okay if they come to my Birthday?" This usually started in June, shewanted to be well prepared for her Birthday come December.Shawna loved making necklaces, bracelets and keychains with beads. She enjoyedgifting them to everyone, her waitresses, the hotel staff, her doctors, etc. Her eyedoctor has kept the necklace hung in his office and has not removed it since. Sheenjoyed arts, crafts, playing Mario, music, especially "You Are My Sunshine". Shawnaenjoyed taking rides to get an ice coffee and go to see animals. She especially enjoyedClark's Trading Post and seeing the Bear Show. Sadly, we were in the process ofplanning a trip there this Spring. Shawna loved joining Zoom classes with fellow Clientsof Aspire Living. She was the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter to all.In remembering Shawna, she would want you to always be compassionate and kind tothose with disabilities. She loved watching YouTube videos of disabled people whoused wheelchair vans, needing feeding tubes or communication boards. She wouldoften say "disabilities are hard".Shawna no longer has disabilities because of her Faith in Jesus. She knew there wasno more pain, no more tears (no crying, she would say), no more disabilities in Heaven.Shawna often spoke of those family members that went to Heaven before she did,especially her Dad. In the hospital this past week, she said, "Dada in a good place, himhappy with Jesus and God taking good care of him". Now we know Shawna is in abeautiful place with Jesus, and God is taking great care of her. With Hope and Faith inJesus, we will see her soon, without disabilities. I so look forward to that day, it'll be abeautiful thing to see Shawna that way.Services for Shawna will be held this Saturday, May 21st, at R.M. Edgerly FuneralHome in Rochester. Calling hours will be from 1-2:00p.m., with a service beginning at2:00p.m., followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rochester.In Lieu of flowers, Shawna would more appreciate donations in her memory be made toeither Community Partners, 113 Crosby Rd, Ste 1, Dover, NH 03820 or to Aspire Living& Learning, 38 Portsmouth Ave, Ste D, Stratham, NH 03885.
