Rochester- Steven P. Colbroth Sr. passed away Friday September 26, 2024, at his home in Rochester following a brief illness.
Steve was born on May 30, 1947, in Rochester, NH.
Steve served in the in the Vietnam War with the US Army, and later worked as a Shipwright for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 40+ years and was presently retired. His friends from the shipyard fondly referred to him as "Shaker" and was always with his buddy Victor Porro (better known as Chachi). He loved a good pool game, playing golf, fishing, camping. He also enjoyed spending time at the Victoire Club in Rochester NH with his friend Bill Leduc. Steve also loved going to his place in Florida for the winters. He also enjoyed going to Bush Gardens. He was proud of his children and often bragged to his friends about them.
Steve is survived by his two children, Steven Colbroth JR. and his wife Tracy, of Nottingham NH; and Lisa Colbroth, of Lee NH. He is also survived through his Granddaughter, Angelina Morse, his step grandchildren Lauren and Evan Mendonca and his great grandson, Bryce.
Steve is predeceased by his mother, Gertrude (Rippett) Miller, brother, Ray Colbroth; and his grandson, Zachary S. Colbroth.
Calling hours for the Colbroth family will be Saturday, October 5th 10 AM - 12 PM at the Edgerly Funeral Home chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at New Coldspring Cemetery in East Rochester. A gathering for those who would like to attend will be after the cemetery at Lisa Colbroth’s house in Lee NH.
