Dover – Steven A. Tate, 71, passed away Sunday April 12, 2026, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born March 1, 1955, in Rochester, NH he was the son of the late Arnold Tate and JoAnn (Unglaub) Wyndham.

Steven loved his cats and was a classic rock enthusiast, but a lover of many types of music, and enjoyed passing the time sitting in his sunroom and playing his many albums and CD's. In his youth he and his brother David shared a love for Star Trek.

Although he mostly liked to be alone, he thoroughly enjoyed chatting up a storm when he had a visitor, and never seemed to want them to leave! He had a good sense of humor, loved to laugh, and despite his health challenges was always in a good mood. He will be missed.

Steven was grateful for having such a caring neighbor in Shireen Khavari. Steven leaves his brother David Wyndham and wife Laurie of Sebastian, FL.
