Susan Stearns Smith

Rochester, NH- Susan Stearns Smith, 85, of Lilac View passed away Thursday Nov. 1, 2018 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 23, 1933 in Rochester during a blizzard at the family farm, Broadview, the daughter of the late Guy and Grace (Edmunds) Stearns. She is a lifelong resident of Rochester and attended Spaulding HIgh School. She loved horses, reading, country music and playing bingo but especially her family. Susan retired from the Rochester Manor where she worked as a nurses' aide. Members of her family include sons, Gilbert Smith and companion Patty, Bob (Michele) Smith; daughters, Loretta (Bill) McGrail, Deborah (Jim) Bourgeois; 3 grandchildren, Josh and Jeremy Bourgeois, Sarah McGrail; sisters, Marion Frizzell, Helen Stone and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
