LEBANON, Maine ; Sylvia D. Jones, 89, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a period of failing health.Born Jan. 4, 1920, in Sanbornville, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Violet (Devoll) Wilkins.Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, going to old car shows, gardening and listening to live music.Members of her family include her children, Calvin and wife, Irene Jones of Florida, Jack and wife, Valerie, of Texas, Bruce Jones and companion, Karen, of Shapleigh, Ron Jones of Lebanon; daughters, Barbara Grant and her husband, Bruce, of Sanford, Deborah and husband, Craig Finnegan of Lebanon;18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Elliott Jr. and Erlon Elliott, both of Rochester, N.H.; and two sisters, Edith Mongeon of Newmarket, N.H., and Sherry Phillips of Somersworth, N.H.; many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond C.
