Rochester, NH- Sylvia Poore of Partridge Green died Monday, April 15th, 2019 with family by her side. Sylvia was born December 5th, 1942 in Berlin, NH. She is the daughter of the late Silvio and Irene (Pepin) Roberge. Sylvia lived in Rochester since 1991 after living in Plattsburgh, NY, Atlanta, GA and Middletown, OH. She attended Notre Dame High School in Berlin, NH. She went on to college earning her nursing degree at Saint Louis School of nursing, then interning in Concord, NH, Boston, MA and Rhode Island. After graduation she worked for Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. In Plattsburgh, NY she worked for Boces from 1981-1983. She also worked as a paraeducator from 1991-2006 at the Chamberlin School in the Rochester School district and after retiring logged many hours volunteering at the High School from 2011-2017. She loved to read, visit the beach and spend time with her grandchildren. Sylvia is survived by her sons; James (Nancy) Poore of Manlius, NY, Patrick Poore and his fiance' Suzanne Penney of Rochester, NH, daughter; Judy(Jeff) Turgin of Rochester and grandchildren; Abigail and Joseph Poore. Other survivors include brother; Roland (Carol) Roberge of Concord, NH and their children; Jeremy, Denny and Valerie Roberge. She is predeceased by her husband of 27 years; Jimmie K Poore and daughter Tammie Poore. The family would like to thank Dewey and staff at Lincoln Terrace House for their care and compassion. They truly helped the family when they needed it most. In lieu of flowers, donations may be make to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at a later day.
