Teddy Mantos Jr

Milton, NH- Theodore "Teddy" Mantos, Jr, 75, of 379 Micah Terrace died Saturday Nov. 4, 2017 at his home after a long illness.He was born May 3, 1942 in Portland, ME the son of the late Theodore Sr and June (Caron) Austin. He was a graduate of Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH. Teddy has resided in Milton for the past 21 years previously living in Dover. He played semi-pro football for the Tri City Chargers and served in the Merchant Marines. He owned and operated the Dover Social Club for many years and later was a substitute teacher at Spaulding High School which he loved. He enjoyed boating on Milton Three Ponds and especially loved staying in touch with his friends.Members of his family include his wife of 43 years, Diane (Lessard) Mantos; son, Theodore Mantos, III; daughter, Jennifer Mantos and fiance' Michael Schmitz, one granddaughter, Hannah Desharnais, all of Milton; niece, Diane Blanchard and husband John, his nephews Sammy and Little John, and a niece, Sarah, brother-in-law, Richard Lessard; sister-in-law, Rene Philpott, cousins and many close friends. The family would like to thank the Milton Fire Dept. for all of their help during Teddy's long illness. Family and friends may visit Thursday Nov. 9, 2017 from 4-7PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday November at 10AM at ST.
