It is with profound sadness that the family of Tris Souther announce his sudden passing. He was a much beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and soon to be grandfather. He is predeceased by his father Tristram, his mother Shirley and brother David. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Donna, his son David and wife Jennifer, his son Thomas and wife Katelyn, his brother in law Michael, sisters Sheila and Deborah, brother Andrew, nieces, nephews, great friends and neighbors. A dedicated family man and hard worker, providing for his family was important to him. He had recently reached a point in his life where he could begin to relax and enjoy more time with his family.Tris could fill up his days doing chores while waiting for Donna to get home from work so their recent custom of four o'clock happy hour could begin. They were looking forward to many more happy hours in the future. They were truly blessed to have found each other as they were soulmates sharing a love of sci-fi and fantasy. Tris loved to travel, always anxious to explore what lies beyond the shire. He loved family vacations and family get-togethers. He surprised Donna with a second honeymoon trip to Tahiti. He would have loved for Jamaica to be his second home. He thought that not much could beat a cold cocktail while sitting at a swim up bar surrounded by family. He and Donna had plans to visit more tropical locations. When not researching the next tropical vacation he loved taking off in his Mustang convertible with his boys in search of the best local craft beers. No services are planned. A celebration of life to be held at a later time. Memorial donations may be made to the Pope Memorial Humane Society Cocheco Valley.
