Vern Charles Merrihew

Vern Charles Merrihew Jr, 82, of Rochester, NH passed peacefully on October 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lebanon NH on August 1, 1940, to the late Vern Sr and Violet (Bernard) Merrihew. Vern has lived and raised his family in Rochester for the past 53 years. He served in the United States Air Force for eight years before being employed as an automotive mold maker for over 30 years. Everyone would say Vern was a quiet person, but also loved a good conversation. He was an active, hardworking, happy guy who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his sons and grandsons, and also many other outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping. Vern is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia (Austin) Merrihew of Rochester, his sons; Vern Merrihew III and his wife Joanne of New Durham, Michael Merrihew and his wife Kelley of Rochester, his daughter Tammy Sawyer and her husband Guy of Rochester.
