Virginia Ruth Emery

Lebanon, ME - Virginia Ruth Emery, 85, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. Born December 8, 1929 in Kittery, Maine, she was the daughter of Raymond and Hazel (McMullen) Emery. Known as Pigtail Nana, Ginny, and Cookie over the years, she retired at age 64 from a long career as a Registered Nurse. She worked at many different hospitals and nursing homes in later years. Nursing was truly a vocation and calling for her. She lived to help people and was loved and respected by her coworkers and patients. In fact, her wonderful care team at Frisbie Memorial Hospital commented on what a sweet lady she was, even though she was so ill and weak. She was known for her boundless generosity and joyful giving and enjoyed helping anybody she could.
