Virginia Irene Mcgee

July 11, 1960 — May 10, 2025

Virginia “Ginni” McGee, 64, died peacefully in her home in Rochester, New Hampshire on May 10. She was a beloved sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. Ginni grew up in Melrose, Massachusetts and was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, Melrose High School, and Salem State College. Growing up, she was active in Campfire Girls, the Lieutenant Norman Prince Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Melrose Assembly of Rainbow for Girls. Ginni enjoyed camping and swimming in New Hampshire, taking family trips to Florida, and attending Red Sox and Bruins games.
Her career took her to Boston, Maryland, and Rhode Island. She completed her career as an Executive Assistant in the Chemistry Department at Brown University. She retired in Rochester, where she indulged her love of the sea coast, perfected her cooking skills, traveled, read extensively, and enjoyed time with friends and family.
Ginni is the daughter of the late Bernard McGee of Everett, Massachusetts and Helen (Madden) McGee of Medford, Massachusetts. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Kathie Leveson of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey; Laura Kane of Kiawah Island, South Carolina; and Carolyn McGee of Alexandria, Virginia; her godson Colin Kane of Boston; brothers-in-law Scott Leveson and Kevin Kane; and numerous other family members and friends.
Services will be private.
