Walter E Blackadar

Rochester - Walter E. Blackadar, 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a period of failing health. Born January 1, 1921 in Somerville, MA he was the son of the late Frederick and Ina (Wagner) Blackadar. Mr. Blackadar served in the US Navy during WWII and worked 37 years as a planner for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rochester, the Kiwanis, and the Rochester Country Club. Walter enjoyed playing golf, farming, and particularly time with his family.
