Walter Libby

Lebanon Me-Walter L. Libby, 80, of 15 Trevor Lane died peacefully Wednesday January 16, 2013 at home with family. Born June 17, 1932 in Somersworth, NH he was the son of the late Frank and Eva (Sanborn) Libby. Walter was a life-long resident of Somersworth up until the last year and a half he moved to Maine. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was later employed at Colby Footwear until his retirement. He was a member of the Somersworth VFW and the American Legion post #8 in Dover, NH. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his wife. Members of his family include his son, James Libby and his daughter in-law Dannielle of Lebanon Me, his daughter, Carol Libby of Rochester, his grandchildren; James and Kyla Libby of Lebanon Me. A sister in-law Nancy York and his mother in-law, Ruth Jacques. Mr. Libby was predeceased by his wife of 33 years Carol Libby and daughter in-law Michelle York.
