Wayne Scott Bourque, 68, passed away peacefully at home on February 17th, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, with his beloved wife, Margaret, by his side.

Wayne was born on March 12th, 1957, in Dover, New Hampshire, to John and Anita Bourque. He is survived by his brothers, Paul, Chris, and Brian, and was predeceased by his siblings Susan, Sharon, John and Eddie.

Above all else, Wayne cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and proud papa whose love and presence meant everything to those closest to him. He is survived by his children: Lindsey and her children Taylor, Myles, Brayden, and Maddox, along with Taylor’s son Mason; Sherry and her husband Travis and their sons Owen and Curtis; and Brandon, his wife Heather, and their children Wolfgang, Oona, Lulu, and Shoshana. Wayne also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Wayne shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Margaret, and the two found joy exploring the outdoors together, especially hiking the White Mountains. He also had a special place in his heart for their four dogs, Tashi, Finnegan, Marley, and Flash, who were part of the family he loved so dearly.

Wayne will be remembered for the steady love he gave, the comfort of his presence, and the way he made family feel safe and cherished. The memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.

A celebration of life will be held this summer.
