Rochester NH- Wilbur Joseph Boudreau, 81, of 68 Ten Rod Road died Saturday July 10, 2010 at the Colonial Hill Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born Dec. 9, 1928 in Rochester NH he was the son of the late Joseph and Patricia (Lonergan) Boudreau. Wilbur has resided in this area all of his life briefly living in Brooklyn NY for 12 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Spaulding Fibre Company, Bay Head Products, Rochester City Planner and then was Vice President of Crosier Management Company. Wilbur was very active in his community serving on the Rochester School Board, city council, planning board as chairman and the city assessors board for many years. He also was a member of the Rochester Housing Authority, charter member of Rochester Jaycees, and Club Victoire. He was a past member of the Elks Lodge # 1393 and worked on the Sports Hall of Fame Committee. He enjoyed cooking and was well known for his fried chicken and beef jerky. His other hobbies were snowmobiling, and going to the casinos but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Members of his family include his wife of 55 years, Lillian (Brooks) Boudreau of Rochester , twin daughters, Janet Sierstorpff of Deland, FL. and Jacqueline Boudreau of FT. Collins, CO; sons, Brian and wife Diane Boudreau, Bruce and wife Laura Boudreau, daughter, Bonnie and husband Brad Therrien all of Rochester, grandchildren Adriane, Taylor, Kim, Kelly, Breanne, Andrew, Nick, Callie, Kara, Brett; 7 great grandchildren. Family and friends may visit Thursday ,July 15, 2010 from 4-6pm at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. A celebration of his life will follow at 6:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Nelson officiating.
