Wilfred Elwell

Rochester - Wilfred A. Elwell, 86, of Rochester, passed away on February 1, 2014 at Colonial Hill of Rochester. A life long resident of Rochester, Wilfred was born on July 10, 1927 to the late George and Katie Elwell. Wilfred was a member of the American Legion Post 7, and enjoyed bowling, playing pool, golf, and fishing. Wilfred is predeceased by his parents, and his brother Wilbur Elwell. Wilfred is survived by his loving wife, Betty Elwell of Rochester; three sons, Anthony G. Elwell of Farmington, Michael Elwell and his wife Diana of West Milton, and Craig Elwell and his wife Tracy of Alabama; three daughters, Terry Shinner of West Milton, Dawn Elwell of Massachusetts, Holly Elwell of Maine; his sister Dorothy Elwell of Massachusetts; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private burial will be held at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S.
