Rochester NH - William A. Bernard, 63, of Rochester, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 5, 2016, after a period of failing health. Born on September 16, 1952 in Beverly, MA, William was the son of the late Frank W. Sr. and Dorothy (Trask) Bernard. William was a 1971 graduate of Claude H. Patten Vocational High School in Beverly, MA. He lived in Rochester for the past 15 years, prior to that he lived in Sanford, ME and Lake Havasu, AZ. William spent more than 30 years as a tool and die machinist. He was an exceptional machinist and enjoyed tinkering around the garage with various projects. He also enjoyed spending time operating remote control vehicles, boats and helicopters; and he was an avid gun collector. William had a fondness for Doberman Pincers, and had a special place in his heart for his dog Britta, who passed away only four weeks ago.
