William E. "Bill" Bryson

October 17, 1940 - January 9, 2021 On January 9, 2021 William E. Bryson of Milton, was escorted to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Bill was born October 17, 1940 in Chicago, IL. to James and Helen Bryson.  Bill and his family moved to Middleton, NH in 1956 to start a dairy farm. After graduating from high school, he started work in a shoe shop.  He later worked as a cabinet maker, a purchasing agent, a specialty steel and a tool steel salesman.  In 1999 he started publishing The Gateway Magazine, which he continued until 2019.  He also authored three books on Heat Treatment of Tool Steels, Heat Treating Steels, and Cryogenics.
