William " Billy" Brown, 68, of Dover died on January 23 after bravely battling cancer. He diedpeacefully at daughter's home surrounded by his family and friends. Billy was born in Rochester, NH on May 12, 1951 to Claire (Allicon) Brown and Walter Brown,Sr. In the past 10 years Billy was faced with many health obstacles but never gave up hope, hisdesire to fight or his love of life. Throughout all of his battles Billy always looked on the brightside. Despite his failing health, he continued to enjoy life and shared his positive attitude andgenerous heart with whomever he encountered. He enjoyed sitting on his porch, conversingwith his neighbors, trips to the lake, and visiting with family and friends.Bill grew up in Rochester, NH, attended Spaulding High School and the University of NewHampshire. Billy was a sports fanatic, especially regarding football. He played footballthroughout high school, freshman year in college and semi-pro for the Tri City Chargers. Heshared his love of sports by coaching youth sports for years, touching the lives of many youngathletes. For many years Billy worked with his brothers in the family business, Brown and HorschInsulation Company. He left the family business to pursue his Master Plumber License. He waspassionate about his pipe fitting and enjoyed the challenge of piping complex, industrialmechanical systems. Billy is survived by his three daughters, Katie Brown, Summer Brown, Beth Brown and herhusband Jeff Wheaton, and their mother, Robin Chasse Brown, former spouse and life longfriend. His 5 grandchildren; Molly, Fiona, Gannon, Ben and Jack. His loving siblings, Butch andJan Brown of Wakefield, NH, Linda and Greg Hoey of Gonic, NH, Joanne and Vern Merrihew ofNew Durham, NH, and his sister- in - law Valerie Brown of Rochester, NH and many nieces andnephews he loved very much.Bill was predeceased by his younger brother Ricky Brown and his loving partner of many years,Renee Dupuis.
