Rochester- William J. Hawkins, 97, of 10 Wyandotte Falls died March 13, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover after a period of failing health. Mr. Hawkins was born in Rindge, NH on March 9, 1915, the son of Edward and Mary (Aube) Hawkins and lived in Strafford, NH for most of his life. He was retired, formerly working for N. J. Berry Construction Co. operating with heavy equipment. Mr. Hawkins was a avid deer hunter and liked to fish. He enjoyed spending time with family on holidays. Surviving members of his family include his daughter Annie Lingard and husband Warren of Rochester, two grandsons, Brian Lingard and wife Lori of Shrewsbury, MA and Robert Lingard and wife Julieanne of Rochester. Four great grandchildren; Ashlee of Newmarket, Alexander of Rochester, Spencer and Wyatt Lingard, both of Shrewsbury, MA. Many nieces, nephews, and his buddy Mary.
