William F. Lenfest died unexpectedly at his home on February 11, 2022.
Bill was born on January 27, 1939 in Rochester, NH and attended Spaulding High School. Bill was an avid sports fan and athlete. He had a great childhood playing baseball with friends and his beloved brother, Richard. Their Post 7 American Legion team won the first State Championship in 1956. New England sports held a big place in Bill's heart. The friendly Red Sox /Yankee rivalry between he and his brother was a decades-long source of amusement. Bill graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he studied history, was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and took ROTC. On December 2, 1961, Bill married the love of his life, Thomasine "Tommi" Levesque. He had chosen a career in the United Stated Army after graduation and was a 2nd Lieutenant when they married and were stationed in Germany. There, they had two children before returning to the states in 1965.
