Wilma R. (Wood) Hartford

N.Berwick, Maine- Wilma R. (Wood) Hartford, 76, formerly of Rochester went to heaven Saturday July 1, 2017 at Varney Crossing Nursing Home in North Berwick, ME after a period of failing health. She was born Aug. 16, 1940 in Columbus, OH the daughter of the late Elza and Helen (Blythe) Wood. She had resided in Rochester since 1973 previously living in Pennsylvania. Wilma was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo and coloring pictures. Wilma enjoyed swimming in Lake Erie, Ashtubula, OH. She was a great mom and grandmother. Members of her family include her husband, Robert; daughters, Winona "Nonie" Norden of Rochester, Laurie Pitcher of N. Berwick, ME; granddaughters, Heather Mayo of Rochester, Tonya Mayo of Dover, NH; close friends, Steve and Alice Poole. She was predeceased by her brother, Fred E. Wood. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11AM in the chapel of the R.M Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. Burial will be at a later date in Ohio.
